Thank You Again Kathy For Not Accepting “NO”
I am delighted to provide comment on the expertise and service provided by Kathy Rogers of Financial Plus. I approached Kathy several weeks ago on behalf of friends of mine who were having difficulty securing lending to purchase their first investment property.
They had already spoken to two different mortgage brokers and the best options both could offer was for the client to contribute a significantly larger deposit component with the lender approving a loan amount of only 65% of the purchase price. This was unacceptable to these clients and did not fit with their investment strategy.
I briefed Kathy on their circumstances and was encouraged by her confidence that she would be able to find a suitable solution.
In the current lending climate this was not an easy or straightforward deal. However, due to Kathy’s expert knowledge, willingness to approach the problem with creative and lateral thinking, persistence and her absolute determination to find a solution the purchase of the property settled on 3 May. The property was valued at contract price, the lender loaned 80% of the purchase price and the clients were extremely happy with the result.
In addition this transaction was put together during a period that included 4 public holidays adding complexity and pressure that Kathy was able to manage to the highest level of customer care and service.

Untiring Efforts In Refinancing Our Loan
I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of Robyn and myself to thank Kathy and Bruce Rogers for their untiring efforts in refinancing our loan.
Major factors against us were my age and our business’s only very recent return to profitability but Kathy continued to research our options, with her advice on paperwork to prepare, documents to produce, changes in tactics to follow being timely and accurate. From first contact to settlement, Kathy has truly been the most amazing broker we could have found! The whole process was made very easy from the beginning, with Kathy coming to our home early evening for an initial meeting- beyond valuable for us as we both work full time and have a baby & toddler. We had a complicated application with lots of variables that saw many banks not even want to touch us (parent guarantor with linked mortgages, one retired, me only having been in my job 3 months etc) but with Kathy’s persistence and lots of hours work between her and Bruce, we finally moved into our first home last week.
